What "closing rank" means here: for each institute + department + quota + category combination and year, it is the rank of the last candidate who was allotted that seat and actually joined (reported), across Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy Round, taken from the round it was finally settled in.

Seats that changed hands are tracked forward: if a candidate did not report or surrendered a seat in an earlier round, the seat's later, final occupant is what counts, not the earlier provisional allotment.

Multi-year trend: where a combination has data for more than one year, the trend line under each card shows how the closing rank moved year to year. A rising number means the cutoff got easier (more competitive candidates moved elsewhere); a falling number means it got tougher.

When a seat only shows old data: nearly half of all seat combinations here did not get filled under the same institute + department + quota + category in every year: reservation categories rotate, and a specific seat may simply not have come up for a given category in a given year. When a card's most recent data is not from 2025, it carries an amber "No 2025 data" badge. Treat that closing rank as historical context, not a confirmed current-year opportunity. Use the "Only show seats confirmed in 2025" toggle to see just the seats with verified recent data.

"✓ Verified (final admitted list)" badge: for 2023 and 2025, the counselling authority also publishes a Final List of Admitted Candidates: the actual confirmed outcome after every round, including any late mop-up rounds not separately published. Where that list showed a higher (i.e. more competitive) closing rank than what could be reconstructed from the round-by-round allotment data alone, or revealed a seat combination missing from that reconstruction entirely, the number here has been corrected to match it. This affected over 40% of 2025's seat combinations, so treat cards without this badge for 2023/2025 as a reasonable but slightly conservative estimate. A 2024 equivalent final list was not available, so 2024 numbers rely on round-by-round reconstruction only. This does not cover Deemed University / Management-Paid quota seats, since the final list itself does not include them.

Scope: All India Quota (AIQ) seats: AIQ Government Stipendiary, Central University / National Institute, Delhi University, and Deemed University (Management/Paid) quotas. State-quota seats are not included.

This is a reference tool, not a guarantee. Closing ranks can shift in mop-up rounds beyond what's covered here, and reservation/quota rules can affect individual eligibility. The 2024 Stray Vacancy Round for Deemed University seats (SVR-DU) is not yet reflected pending its result data. Always cross-check with the official counselling authority portal before making admission decisions.
