NTA released the official Public Notice on 10 July 2026. Applications close 30 July. Here is every date, the full exam pattern, the three new rules nobody is talking about, and how to plan the days that remain.
The wait is over. On 10 July 2026, the National Testing Agency released the official Public Notice inviting online applications for the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026, conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Ayush, NCISM and NCH.
This is the single common entrance test for All India Quota and State Quota MD/MS seats in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy across every ASU & H college, institution, university and deemed university in the country. If you are a BHMS graduate targeting an MD (Hom.) seat for 2026-27, this notification is the only document that matters right now.

AIAPGET 2026 Exam Pattern
Run the arithmetic once and it changes how you prepare. 120 questions in 120 minutes is exactly one minute per question, including reading the stem, eliminating options and marking for review. There is no thinking time built into this paper. Speed is not a bonus skill here, it is the paper’s core design.
That single fact is why passive reading fails at AIAPGET. You cannot recall a Kent’s rubric under a 60 second clock if you have only ever read it. You have to have retrieved it, repeatedly, under timed conditions.
What Is New in AIAPGET 2026
NTA has introduced changes to strengthen security, transparency and integrity. Read these carefully, because a mistake here can invalidate an otherwise perfect application.
Aadhaar Authentication
Candidates are encouraged to authenticate through Aadhaar while submitting the form. Your Aadhaar photograph and demographic details must match UIDAI records. NTA may verify identity at any stage.
Live Photograph Capture
Along with the passport photo, you must capture a live photograph during submission. It appears on your Admit Card and Score Card. Proper lighting, plain light background, no mask, ears visible. No webcam? Capture via mobile using a QR code.
UDID for PwD/PwBD
Candidates claiming PwD reservation with a Unique Disability ID must upload it for verification through the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities portal. No UDID? Upload a valid Disability Certificate.
One Form Only
Only one Application Form is accepted per candidate. Multiple submissions may lead to rejection of candidature. Fill it once, fill it right, and download the Confirmation Page and fee proof.
How to Apply for AIAPGET 2026
- Go to the official portal: exams.nta.nic.in/aiapget
- Read the Information Bulletin fully. Confirm eligibility: qualification, internship completion, registration, reservation criteria.
- Register, then fill personal, academic and exam city preferences.
- Upload photograph and signature to the prescribed specifications, then complete the live photograph capture.
- Pay the fee online before 11:59 PM on 30 July 2026.
- Download and retain the Confirmation Page and fee payment proof.

Your 41-Day AIAPGET 2026 Strategy
Most aspirants respond to a notification by opening a textbook. That is the mistake. With six weeks on the clock, your syllabus is no longer the syllabus. Your syllabus is what the paper actually asks.
Week 1 to 2: Lock the high-yield core
Organon and Philosophy, Materia Medica, and Repertory carry the paper. Work through condensed modules rather than full texts. Every concept you touch should immediately become a question you can answer without the book open.
Week 3 to 4: PYQ saturation
AIAPGET repeats. Not always verbatim, but the themes rotate with a rhythm you can see once you sit with nine years of papers side by side. Year-wise solving tells you what was asked. Subject-wise solving tells you how a topic is asked, which is the more useful signal.
Week 5: Full-length CBT mocks only
Two hours, no pause, no phone, at the same time of day as the real exam. Your goal is not the score. Your goal is to find where your attention drops, because it will, and to build a marking-for-review discipline that stops one hard question from eating six minutes.
Final week: Revision, not acquisition
Nothing new. Flashcards, error logs, and the topics you have failed twice. Rest matters more than most people admit. A tired brain scores badly on a speed paper.
